STARS AND S.T.R.I.P.E. #1 (August 1999): The Vigilante and The Crimson Avenger (and Wing) appear with the rest of the Seven Soldiers of Victory on full-page that shows Courtney Whitmore (The Star Spangled Kid) reading through her stepfather Pat Dugan's old memorabilia.
STARS AND S.T.R.I.P.E. #9 (April 2000): Pat Dugan (Stripesy) relates the events surrounding the last case of The Seven Soldiers of Victory to his son Mike and stepdaughter Courtney (The Star-Spangled Kid).
This issue reveals the post-Crisis on Infinite Earths changes in the history of the Seven Soldiers, since the Golden Age Green Arrow and Speedy never existed. . The Vigilante's sidekick Stuff was a member (The Crimson Avenger's partner Wing was still an unofficial Soldier, because The Crimson hoped his friend would follow a different path than he had. The other members of the group considered him to be a Soldier like the rest of them), and that the revamped and now traitorous archer known as the Spider also worked with the team.
The Spider actually was working with the Soldiers' arch-foe, The Hand, and killed the Vigilante's mentor Billy Gunn (who revealed the deception) before Wing managed to stop him. In the battle with the Nebula Man, Wing repaired the sabotaged Nebula-Rod and died defeating the giant creature. The Nebula Man's defeat also resulted in the Seven Soldiers being scattered throughout the time stream. The Crimson Avenger is dropped in the time of the Aztecs, where he temporarily loses his memory and becomes a "Sun King". The Vigilante ends up spending twenty years in the Old West before being rescued by the Justice League and Justice Society.
STARS AND S.T.R.I.P.E. #13 (August 2000): The Shining Knight mentions at the end of this issue that he plans to go out west to Greg Saunders' ranch to visit, after investigating the reports of a new Crimson Avenger in Detroit.
